Petites Pensées ~ Just Do It

Apropos of nothing specific, just on my mind
How much nicer would the world be
How much needless hurt and resentment gone
If only humans would rediscover the lost art of personal responsibility

The simple fact of owning that you did something wrong
instead of blaming the bus, the fax machine, the dude next door
Just say, “I messed up and I’m sorry”, “It was my mistake and I apologize”

What I Said

This man has elected to be verbally abusive with me because I disagree with his opinion.

Not only can he not just stand down and respect the fact that this is my blog, my opinion and my choice; he feels the need to make things personal.

I suggest that regardless of your view of the USA elections, you may wish to unfollow a person who feels justified in abusing someone who doesn’t allow their own blog to be used as a political grand stand.

Oh! And ETA: Still won’t back off with the name calling. There are children with better manners and self-control.

First words to me, a complete stranger:

“Then she’s an arrogant ignorant as well.”

Nope. Nothing inflammatory there. <heavy irony>

Aside

~ All of the communication skills ~

If you’re over the age of thirteen and still using “The Silent Treatment” as a method for conveying your thoughts and opinions…

The ONLY thing that you’re communicating is that you’re immature, cowardly and rude.

And. You’re a big fat meany-pants poopy butt head with a head for a butt! :p

Ill Mannered

The only message delivered by the ‘Silent Treatment’ is that you are rude, passive-aggressive and that your communications skills would embarrass a pre-schooler.

Deliberately ignoring basic social courtesy reveals arrogance, ego and adolescent narcissism; a reaction that is incomprehensible and unacceptable from an adult in this day and age.
