Hello Missouri

Hello, hello

Welcome my dear

I’ve noticed you before

I know why you’re here

Peruse and digest

It’ll all become clear

Your intuition is correct

It’s what draws you near

You were mentioned to me

A whisper in my ear

You may find some answers

You’ve nothing to fear

So say hello Missouri

Let your vision be clear

It’s not what you want

Though it’s what you should hear

Of A Feather

Listening to the song of cardinals reminded you of me
They trilled in my garden and sang in your bougainvillaea
Your heart was healing and you were ready to fly
Soaring on the strength of the love between you and I

You rushed out into the bright, beckoning sky to soar
For a time, it was so beautiful, to watch you in flight
But bright plumage attracts others both friend and foe
Once the vultures had begun to circle, they wouldn’t go

Intent on only taking, they stole in darkness and in lies
Your dark confusion returned, I could see you’d lost your way
Their theft left you adrift in air streams with no way back
Not one cared that they’d stolen your heart and soul’s map

But has come a gentle white dove to my world of dark
Gifting me with an olive branch that tastes of your kisses
Though eons pass until this phoenix heart is ready again for the sky
The kindness of one among the many, gives me reason to wish to try

Heartfelt Thank You

I’ve been away from WordPress for most of the day today. Real Life sometimes needs to be tended to.

I popped on to post a contribution to another blog to find that, to my utter amazement; I’ve had one of the best days for visits to The Eclectic poet since I first joined this site!

I’m not sure what generated this surge of interest but I am delighted beyond words – writers write to be read – but more important, I am grateful and so pleased to see that the post that has attracted this interest has also directed many people to my friend Kim Saeed’s blog “Let Me Reach”.

Thank you to everyone who took time out of this Easter weekend to read my words and even more so for taking the time to click through and learn more about Narcissist Abuse and Narcissist Predators. I hope that by helping get the information out there, fewer men and women will fall prey to Narcissists, that the general public will be better informed and that Targets will not be subjected to misunderstanding and “Victim Blaming”.

So much love and gratitude… I’m overwhelmed. Please spread the word, share the links and support Kim and the wonderful work she is doing.

Blessings K~ xx

Dear Heart

Written a couple years ago, commemorating a first anniversary, for a dear friend who’d lost his wife to cancer. I can only hope that time erases any bad and softens the edges of the good to gently poignant and no longer painful. Thinking of you today…

My arms ache to hold you
In moments such as these

How I wish there was a way
To give your heart a little ease

Let me cry them with you
And then kiss away your tears

If talking about anything helps
You know you have my ears

We can simply walk in silence
If you need to, hold my hand

Should you need my presence
You need only ask dear friend

To know the lovely person
Who is so much part of you

It would be my honour
To share these things with you

To celebrate precious memories
All those to never replace

If I could have just one wish today
Would be some of your hurt to erase

Poetic Musings

Is it possible to be both healed and broken by love?

I think so
Do these things happen at the same time?
They just might
Perhaps not in the way, you might at first think
Not a bad way
Sometimes a perceived break in your heart is simply
The only way it can open to let the healing inside
