Ha! Thank you and glad you liked it :). I haven’t participated in one of these in over a year. Hope I can find some “Writer’s Wheaties” and put up with the doofus naysayer commentary from non participants!

A great one to start the month! I quite liked the line “Liquor might help but not this early in the day” and the part about “elevate my drivel and doggerel” too!

As writers we all have this rattling around in our heads and bodies but as poets, it runs even deeper leaving us feeling inadequate for the task, we just need to push through and find reasons to laugh as much as possible. Very well said, and I can definitely relate! Thanks for linking up!

Thanks so much! It’s been a long time since I participated in a challenge and am glad for this kick in the poetic pantaloons 🙂
Looking forward to lots of inspiration. ~ k

This was an absolute delight to read as it had me laughing at myself as I thought much along the same lines …. except I’ve never done a month long poetry challenge! I wish you courage and excellent elevations – even if liquor induced – and yes, it must be 5 o’clock somewhere 🙂

I can relate. Any day that I don’t write at least a little something, it really bothers me!

This made me smile. I loved it. I got told over the summer that I should drink more when I write because apparently I come up with some good words, so I loved that line in this. LOL
Good acrostic.
