Ever the little match girl
Shivering outside the hall
Watching people come and go
New and old, all welcomed
With hearts, flowers
Euphemistic hugs and “huns”
Sisterhood claimed
But only for the chosen ones
There is no real sisterhood
Behind these walls of glass
Melancholy?
Yes. As I wave goodbye
To another stranger
I could throw a rock
To break the walls
Shatter the false illusions
Instead, I’ll square my shoulders
Souldering on with my integrity
Those who choose to listen to a snake’s whispers
Those of tribe hearts, hugs and smileys
Are too false and too shallow
For walking wounded like me
Remain in your palace of glass
Far too hard to make a true effort
And it will come to pass
That truth will be revealed
Duplicity and lies can’t be forever
Concealed

Thank you Matt, smiles. I’m so glad you liked this. It’s not that I don’t like smileys or hearts 🙂 <– See.
It just irks me when they're a facade.
Thanks again for visiting. K~xx

omg! Too funny and so accurate. I’m an English Geek so, double smileys!
Seriously though, I know people get busy, we have lives but I try hard to keep up with my reading. It’s the connections that seem so strong and worthwhile that precipitously evaporate for no discernible reason that tick me off. People should talk to each other and not rely on just what they see or are told.
Is there a soapbox emoticon?

bwahahahaha “soapbox emoticon”…doubt it. I get it though, it is hard to keep up. I’ve resorted to bookmarking peoples page in subfolders so I can touch back with them ever few days.

Guess who fell asleep? I thought subscribing to email would help but that’s proved to be as bad as being at work! I just hope folks cut me the same slack I do them, ’cause… unless I had staff, there’s no way I could really engage in every single post for every single blog I follow. I do try my best.
Hope you have a wonderful day, smiles
