Once upon a time there was a princess. This was a different kind of princess because on her days off, she was also a lumberjack. She could actually walk in Louboutins and start a fire with two sticks.
None of the girls liked her because she looked different and she was smart. She could run faster than most of the boys and she was an ace at lacrosse and fixing her own bicycle brakes.
Some of the boys liked her because she was easy to talk to but most of them didn’t want to admit that they liked a lumberjack princess. Their friends would bug them and say “Why would you like a skinny, dark-haired, smart princess when there are all these giggly, blonde, blue-eyed princess to fall all over you”?
The lumberjack princess knew that it was true. There were only one or two Princes or Knights who could handle her. They were few and far between; sweet and hot, courtly and dirty, master and slave. She knew she was too funny, too smart mouth, too dark for ordinary boys and she knew that she would always be lonely.
I mean, really?
Who WOULD want a green-eyed lumberjack princess when they could have an insipid blonde pet? What prince or knight would ever want to put out that much effort?
That would just be a stupid faerytale anyway…
Even the lumberjack princess decided that she liked blondes better… and it was just easier this way.
