Pacifica
Petrol coloured waves chase
Across shell strewn sand
California’s other side
Indifferent to a foreigner’s ideals
Fickle wind tugs at my curls
Inspiring a love for this craggy place
Cradled today in foggy ribbons
Adrift in seaweed scented dreams
